Meet the Team

Chrissy Remsberg – Associate Pastor

I have been serving as an Associate Pastor at Beacon since January 2018.  Over this time it has been exciting to see how God has continued to shape and grow our church and challenge us to keep sharing the Gospel “by all possible means so that we might save some.”  Prior to coming to Beacon I served for 15 years in both paid and unpaid roles in youth ministry and young adult ministry.  I have served on church plant teams, launched a new congregation for a growing international church, and co-wrote a small group study and leadership training course on missional living.  My passion is mission and releasing and empowering people within the church to discover their ministry call and missional purpose. 

Chris Knight – Lay Pastor

I have been a member of the church for over 30 years and it has been a privilege to have been a part of all that God has done in that time.  I am married to Sue and have four grown up children. I have served as a leader in the church over many of those years both as a Deacon and as an Elder.

Stuart Wray – Treasurer

I joined Sandon Road Baptist Church upon my arrival in Stafford in 2006. Over the past sixteen years I have served the church with two terms as a deacon and with treasurer responsibilities.

Sandra Bunn

I’ve been a member of the church for around 6 or 7 years.  I am part of the Pub Church team and was part of the initial team launching it.  I have been on the Leadership team for 2.5-3 years. 

Ruth Concar

I have attended the church for 35 years, I have a passion for working with the children in the children’s church and also with our friends in Nepal. I am a wife and mother of two teenagers, one of whom is at university. I manage the pre-school which runs from the Sandon Rd site and before and after this I childmind, through this we have been doing emergency foster care. I look forward to seeing what God has planned not only in my life but in the church’s life too.

Sally Cox

I first came to Beacon Church five years ago having moved to Stafford from Kent and knew within a couple of weeks that Beacon is where God was calling me to be. During my time at the church, I have become involved in children’s and youth work, been part of the ‘welcome teams’, visited Nepal three times and completed three years as a Deacon before the change in leadership structure.

Gillian Farrell

I’ve been a member of Beacon church for 4 years and I’ve been a Christian for 39 years, 37 of which were within the Baptist Church. I was a leader at Rising Brook prior to coming to Beacon. I have two passions: my love and desire to see lives transformed through Jesus and to show Christ’s love both inside and outside of the church.

Trish Horsnall

I am married to Andy (this is our second marriage) and between us we have 4 children, and a beautiful grandchild.  Both my children are now grown up, and have flown the nest. We both felt God was calling us to Beacon Church in 2018. We attended the All in Course in 2019 an became members. We are part of the 11.15am congregation and take an active role within the life of the church.
